Objectives
To provide APCC members’ client firms with an additional list to that of the FCA’s Skilled Person Panel (click HERE) of appropriate consultancies who have the experience to respond to FCA Requirements Notices in the capacity of a Skilled Person. (S166)
Status
The APCC Board of Directors has established a list of firms known as the APCC Additional Skilled Person Suppliers. The list consists of experts with appropriate subject matter knowledge of Section 166 / Skilled Persons process and a member of the Board (who may or may not have subject matter knowledge) whose governance roll is to authenticate for the benefit of the entire membership that a fair process has been undertaken.
To provide APCC members’ client firms with an alternative short list of appropriate consultancies who have the experience to respond to FCA Requirements Notices in the capacity of a Skilled Person.
The Panel should attempt to identify any updates and/or changes to the rules governing the appointment of a Skilled Person under Section 166 of FSMA, consider how these may be overcome, and provide support to members in relation to these where practical. The Panel should engage with relevant supervisory bodies to discuss issues and provide feedback.
