Navigate the complexities of calculating DB redress

The APCC are delighted to offer this free workshop, in conjunction with our affiliate OAC Plc on ‘Navigating the Complexities of Calculating DB redress’.

The FCA is taking an increasing interest in the financial advice given to investors who wish to transfer out of Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes.

This has clear implications for the provision of ongoing DB transfer advice.  It also affects firms who have provided such advice in the past – with news this week that the FCA have identified 60 organisations which should consider carrying out past business reviews.

OAC, who became an affiliate member of the APCC earlier this year, have over 25 years experience in assisting firms resolve complaints relating to DB transfer advice.

They will be running a half hour session at 10am on 2nd August 2021 to explain how they can help you and your clients navigate the potential complexities of redress.

The session will cover:

– the process for compensating an investor if their advice is found to be unsuitable.
– how the redress process can be integrated into a past business review
– how clients can factor the potential risk of redress into their strategic decision making

The session will be helpful for anybody who works with firms who offer, or have offered, advice in relation to defined benefit transfers.
