Association of Professional Compliance Consultants

The body for compliance consultants who advise firms regulated in the UK.

The APCC is active in enhancing the professional standards of compliance consultants and is recognised as a trade body by the FCA and other regulators. This provides our members with significant benefits in terms of direct access to the Regulators as well as business leads.  The APCC often works in conjunction with the FCA to pilot or test new initiatives, and we also provide with valuable feedback on specific subjects as requested by them.

Integrity at Work Webinar

January 12 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

Following on from the success of our first ‘Practiclass’ webinar, we are delighted to be able to invite members to join an ‘Integrity at Work’ session hosted by the CISI.

Ten years after the global financial crisis, culture, ethics and behaviour are still key areas of focus in the financial services profession. For eight years, the CISI has been delivering a unique Integrity at Work Interactive workshop, which allows attendees to develop their ethical decision-making skills by debating and participating in discussion about real life challenges they may face at work. Every participant is involved by using online polls, as well as break out ‘rooms’ to discuss key issues in small groups, all in a non-judgemental environment. This will look at examples such as;

  • CV dilemma – as Chairman you are about to promote a colleague to the Board, but you discover he lied on his CV. What would you do?
  • Conflict of interest – a family member is earmarked to join your firm, but you know a restructure might prevent this. What would you do?
  • Errors dilemma – a team member fails to follow procedure and makes an error. Your new Director recommends disciplinary action. What would you do?

With only a limited number of spaces and a first come first served basis, to register your place, please click here.

Tuesday 12thth January 2021 9:30am – 10:30am

This is set to be a 60-minute interactive session with a maximum of 30 spaces. Topics of discussion include conflict of interests and a range of potential dilemmas.
