Dominic Cashman | Director of Authorisations | FCA

Dominic will be providing an update on the FCA’s authorisation work during 2023 and what we can expect in 2024.

Helen Lord | Vulnerability Registration Service

An update on VRS work in the vulnerability space, reporting on any FCA studies.  The session will also cover how the landscape is becoming more joined up within financial services and the difference sectors who are addressing vulnerability’.

Alexandra Richards | Head of Regulatory Policy and Compliance | PIMFA

Alexandra will give an update on the trends and experiences they have seen since the implementation of the Consumer Duty requirements.  She will reflect on the journey firms have gone through while addressing Consumer Duty and how firms have adapted their systems to embed the rules.

Jonathan Pallant | Stakeholder and Public Affairs | FSCS

Jonathan will be providing a general update, as well as looking at the impact of consumer duty and the extent to which all firms understand their role and how this will affect their businesses, and potential audit and governance reforms that HMT is expected to review at some point. This will also cover the FSCS’s perimeter and the future framework for high-risk assets, as well as debates on appropriate future coverage for Central Bank Digital Currencies and Crypto as well as a brief review of the Advice Guidance Boundary.

This panel session titled De-risking: the regulatory, legal and criminal aspects in relation to engaging with financial institutions. This session will look at the bank’s activities in de-banking customers and the impact of this and looking at the FCA’s action following their own review.
