Association of Professional Compliance Consultants

The body for compliance consultants who advise firms regulated in the UK.

The APCC is active in enhancing the professional standards of compliance consultants and is recognised as a trade body by the FCA and other regulators. This provides our members with significant benefits in terms of direct access to the Regulators as well as business leads.  The APCC often works in conjunction with the FCA to pilot or test new initiatives, and we also provide with valuable feedback on specific subjects as requested by them.

APCC appoints 2 new directors

Following our AGM which was held on Wednesday 27th April 2022, we are delighted to announce 2 new directors to the APCC board.

James Borley from Compliancy Services will be joining to represent the Payment Services Sector but also has experience across several sectors such as mortgage, GI, IFA’s and Investments.  James has already enjoyed a long relationship with the APCC through his work at the FCA and, latterly as a consultant.  James also chairs our FCA Authorisations Liaison Group.

Melony Holman joins us from Compliance and Training Ltd, who have been APCC members since 2007.  Mel specialises in financial planning firms (personal investment firms) advising in investments, pensions, mortgages, and protection. Mel is also an active member of several APCC working groups and is passionate about the education and professionalism of our industry and future employees.

Angela Bryant also stepped down as a director at this AGM having been on the board since 2011, although Corylus Compliance will continue to be an APCC member.  Angie has provided huge support and energy to the board over the years, being particularly involved in reviewing our standards vetting and application criteria when new firms apply.

A note from our Chair, Julie Ampadu

“I’m delighted to welcome our 2 new board members to join us at such an exciting time at the APCC.  Our working groups are active and growing and engagement with our Regulator, affiliates, partners and other stakeholders is continuously increasing.  At the same time, our membership offering is providing members with valued regulatory, business and networking support. The world around us is changing and we want to be an agile association that is outward looking and forward thinking, inviting creativity and new ideas to the table and investing in the next generation of compliance consultants.

We’re looking forward to our new directors contributing to the shape of the APCC in the coming years.
